Ollech & Wajs started in 1956 when Albert Wajs and Joseph Ollech opened a small watch shop in Zurich. They quickly moved from selling other brands to creating their own, focusing on making tough, reliable watches for professionals and military folks.

They used solid stainless steel cases and trusted movements like Valjoux and Landeron. Their Caribbean 1000 model was a big deal, being the first watch rated for 1,000 meters underwater, which was pretty impressive back then.
