Weekly Digest
The Chronoscout Digest: September 15-21
Another week of microbrand releases has concluded with some artistic and artisanal achievements.
Awake dominated the week with their ambitious Son Mài Silver Leaf Vignette collection, introducing gradient effects to their celebrated Vietnamese lacquer technique. The five variants each showcase the brand's mastery of traditional lacquer application combined with silver leaf texturing. The Golden Hour limited edition stands out with its color transition from yellow through orange to reddish-brown, while the others feature more traditional fumé gradients fading to black edges.
Benjamin James took an equally artisanal approach with their Scarifour Limited Production Stone series, incorporating genuine Lapis Lazuli, Green Jade, and Burnt Orange Agate into dial construction.
Other notable releases include Brigade's Subcommanders with sword hands, Andoandoando's intriguing UFO Watch, Vaer's travel-ready G5 Pacific Polar GMT, Northern Star's Silver Knight and Original Knight duo, Henry Archer's striking purple titanium Vesterhav and Formex's Space Rock Limited Edition within their Essence Leggera FortyOne chronometer line.
Cheers,
Michel
