The Chronoscout Digest: May 4 - 10

Beaucroft teamed up with Time+Tide on the Solaris GMT this week, limited to 200 pieces worldwide. The concept: "The Sun Never Sets on Time+Tide" - referencing the media company's global expansion across London, Melbourne and New York. The dial features a hammered center representing the sun itself, surrounded by a gradient chapter ring transitioning from deep purple to vivid orange. The palette came from a specific moment: Matt Herd's in-flight view of Bryce Canyon at 37,000 feet, where the rock formations reveal natural purple and orange striations. 39.5mm case with Miyota 9075 GMT movement, hand-assembled in the UK, $899.

REC Watches launched the GTR 02R: watches made from actual McLaren F1 GTR chassis 02R material. The most victorious F1 GTR in racing history becomes a watch via collaboration with driver Ray Bellm and restoration shop Lanzante Limited. Available in Gulf-inspired blue and Ueno Clinic liveries.
