The Chronoscout Digest: June 1 - 6

The Ming x J.N. Shapiro 37.06 Lightning is the release of the week. Two founding members of the Alternative Horological Alliance combining their crafts on a single dial: Josh Shapiro hand engine-turns every dial from grade-2 titanium on a traditional rose-engine lathe using a lightning guilloché pattern he's never used on a wristwatch before. Then Ming Thein personally heat-colors each one with a butane torch in Kuala Lumpur - orange at the center fading through purple to deep blue at the perimeter. One in three dials gets discarded. The caseback is engraved: "DIAL HAND MADE BY J.N. SHAPIRO & MING THEIN." Not a limited edition, but capped at around 10 pieces per month.

Elliot Brown launched the Aircrewman Holton automatic GMT, Nivada Grenchen added the SUPER ANTARCTIC in Black & Orange and Henry Archer introduced the Vesterhav Blackbird DLC. Awake Watches brought their guilloché craft to the Son Mài Frosted Leaf Union Jack edition.
