The Céline Dion watch

Col & McArthur launched an official Céline Dion collection on 3 October, the 21st anniversary of her single "Je ne vous oublie pas". It's the Belgian brand's first tribute to a living icon, made under license with Universal Music France and Bravado. The dial is mother-of-pearl shaped like a seashell, a nod to her nickname "the Pearl of Quebec". Its lines are meant to recall a wedding veil, in honor of René Angélil. In the center, zircon pavé draws the Eiffel Tower, referencing her Paris Olympics return and her Paris residency. Her signature sits at 6 o'clock and on the caseback. The automatic Prestige is numbered to 2,026 pieces and shows its Swiss movement through the sapphire back.

Dennison turned its slim ALD into a checkerboard. The ALD Checker comes in three compositions, all in pavé diamonds against black onyx: Balance splits the dial from 9 to 3 o'clock, Draw splits it from 12 to 6 and Gambit is cut into quarters. The case plays along, finished either diamond-set or in black PVD. It keeps the usual ALD proportions of 37 by 33.5 mm and just 6.05 mm thick, with a Ronda quartz movement and a black alligator strap.
